I had a wonderful example of a Godly woman in my Aunt Polly. Every year she read her Bible from cover to cover and it was by her example that I started to do so myself. I've only made it all the way three full times and I was on my fourth year through when I had some things going on in my life and I let my readings lapse. (I lost my beloved aunt to cancer.) So needless to say when I saw your email that had the part about you doing so I felt led to get back into doing so again. I've never had anyone read it with me before so it will be really fun knowing that there are others who will be reading the genealogies with me.

I like the idea of a Bible read-through and figured it's worth using as a plan for the coming year. Are you going to be giving weekly updates as to where you are? Just curious.

I appreciate your invitation to read the Bible at the same pace that you will do for this current timeframe. I am already in two other programs this year that are taking me through the Bible within a one year period, but I figure since the days in my lifetime that I have not read the Bible at all far outweigh the times I have read the Bible, it would not hurt me to put more of God's word into my heart. Also I have my son making a commitment to read along with you and I.
