Updated on Three Prayer Requests from Last Week
Sat., Oct. 9. 2021 3:45pm EDT

Here are updates on all three prayer requests from last week. If you missed that article, you can still read it at http://apologetix.com/news/news-details.php?news_id=4301

The first is from Lynn Turner in Ontario, Canada:

Bill is holding the same. Not better, not worse when it comes to his organs. The nurse today was really good. He explained a lot of things and answered most of my questions. And he gave me the timeline I was wanting. I mean it's not what I wanted for time, but I wanted a timeline for a marker.

He figures at least mid to late November before he will be off the machines, but then there are weeks of physical therapy, so I'm looking at the new year before he comes home. Of course, the Lord could accelerate that or Bill could take longer to heal, but the point is the nurse was talking about Bill being here in November and longer, so that gives me hope.

The Lord gave me a wonderful blessing today. Today I was able to see Bill in person at the hospital and when I went in, I had to do the mask, sheild, gown and gloves . While I was in with Bill, they declared him COVID free (he has had two negative test results), so they came in and said I could remove all but the mask. Hallelujah, Lord!

That meant I was able to actually touch him skin on skin for the first time since all of this happened (when I was there the last time, I held his hand but I was gloved), and there is such a difference when you can feel skin on skin contact. Also, the Lord helped me to stay in my mask for one and a half hours without hyperventilating or having a panic attack. I think that's a record. I am praising the Lord for that also.

So new prayer requests, please:

1 They think he is having an allergic reaction to one of the medications (he broke out in a rash) but are unsure which one.

2. He has an infection in his lung, and they believe it came in through the IV in his neck. He is on antibiotics and seems to be responding well to them. But they may have to move the line to his clavicle, and they said there is some risk involved.

Anyway that's my newest update. Praise the Lord he is good!

The second is from Bonnie Podnar in Coraopolis PA:

Ruth is doing much better and is at home. Harley is doing worse. His kidneys are shutting down, and he needs dialysis. The lack of oxygenated blood throughout his body has his organs all getting worse.

The one cousin that I have said that the oxygen problem is why he is a totally different person right now. He is a minister with his own church and he treats the hospital staff like they are terrorist that are holding him hostage and beating him. He screams out for people to please release him. It's so sad.

This poor family has had one death after another for several years now. So needless to say he still needs all the prayers that he can get.

The third is from Clint Walker Jr. in Louisville KY:

I talked to Angela's doctor today. He said that she is at a plateau right now. He did tell me her puemonia is not as bad as some of the other COVID19 patients he's had, so I take that as a positive!

I did let him know about her stroke that she had and that she has been having mini-strokes here recently. He wasn't aware of that and thanked me for letting him know. He said they would keep a close eye out for that from now on.

Keep us in your prayers. I've been really stressed out and have been having a hard time coping with the fact that I might lose her! I've placed her in God's hands, and I trust in him, but it's still really hard!

Thanks to all of you who are joining us in prayer for these dear friends of ours and their loved ones.
