We always get a kick out of other people performing our parodies. Here's one where the parody performance took place in the home state of the original song:
I just was on campus at my school, Calvin College, and there was an open mic night in the coffee shop. I happened to be standing nearby when I heard "The Real Sin Savior" begin. It was Michael, a buddy of mine, who was rapping the Gospel to the audience there.
He did an awesome job! The baristas were dancing behind their coffee machines, and when Michael finished the song, the room was cheering loudly.
Props and many thanks for making such a great song! Many blessings in the rest of your ministry!

Editor's Note: Too bad it wasn't J. Jerdan himself singing that song. He could have kept the line, "But J., what if we pray?" and slightly changed "He's the first and last and I'm J. Jackson I'm the worst" to "He's the last and first and I'm J. Jerdan I'm the worst." And he's already got that authentic Michigan-area street cred.
