This Weekend: NH, NY, and Prison
Mon., Jul. 31. 2006 12:13am EDT
For this weekend, August 4-6, we wanted to try something new, so we're playing concerts in New Hampshire, New York, and a woman's prison. Actually, the women's prison will be a new experience for us, but New Hampshire and New York will be new in name alone.
On Friday, August 4, we'll be at SoulFest 2006 (our fourth appearance at SoulFest since 2000) in Gilford NH (30 miles from Concord, 50 miles from Manchester, 100 miles from Boston MA, 105 miles from Portland ME, and 120 miles from Montpelier VT).
Other artists who will be performing at SoulFest 2006 on that day include Mercy Me, Jars of Clay, Skillet, Downhere, Matt Maher, Farewell June, the Myriad, and many others.
Artists performing on the other days include Audio Adrenaline, Jeremy Camp, Barlow Girl, Stryper, Paul Colman, Grits, Sanctus Real (Wed., Aug. 2), Newsboys, Superchic(k), Tammy Trent, DC Talk's Kevin Max, KJ-52, Disciple (Thu., Aug. 4), Third Day, Chris Tomlin, Pillar, Hawk Nelson, Kutless, John Reuben (Sat, Aug. 6), Casting Crowns, Natalie Grant, and New England's Largest Sunday-Morning-Worship Service (Sun., Aug. 7) plus many others.
Oops! This just in -- we have since received the following email regarding that list:
As for SoulFest, you forgot to mention the band I am playing in, The Mike May Band, on the Deeper Well Stage Thursday at 4:00 p.m. OK, so you didn't forget because you never heard of us. But a shout out from you guys in your newsletter would be awsome and we will be sure to mention your show from our stage. Thanks!!!

On Saturday, August 5, we'll be in Rochester NY (75 miles from Buffalo, 85 miles from Syracuse, Niagara Falls and Bath, 90 miles from Ithaca, 140 miles from Jamestown, and 165 miles from Erie PA and Endicott)
On Sunday, August 6, we'll be at an undisclosed location for a concert a women's prison. It says "Alcatraz" on the schedule, but that's just because we're not allowed to mention the real place for security reasons. Please keep that concert in your prayers.
